The Mile high city is kind of different from the other places I've visited. We stayed at a hotel right in the middle of the city or downtown and that made it extremely convenient to walk to all the touristy areas like the Coors field and Pepsi Center . Walking up hilly roads was almost like trekking and burning up calories.
The highlight of this trip for me was our day trip to the Rocky Mountains . We started from our hotel heading on Rt 70 to Berthoud Pass which passes the continental divide and all the way enjoying every bit of the mountain views as we drove along.
When we got to the Rocky Mountain National Park , the majestic splendor of the Mountains took my breath away and watching hoards of elks so close was another great experience.
